An infection
We have had a rough couple of days, right now things seem to be going backward and not forward. Parker has just been so grumpy, he crys a lot and nothing can really settle him. He does like pink swab sponges dipped in water but that can only hold him off for so long. Since Sunday Parks has been having partial seizures againg but they were a bit longer lasting then last time, so they had to go up on some of his seizure medications. It makes him pretty sleepy so that was kinda nice. Then last night Parker had a temperature of 39.8 so that was pretty high and then they did blood cultures and urine cultures and his pick line and blood came back as being infected. So he's on some strong antibiotics to try to wipe it out. So hopefully things clear up and he starts feeling better.

Hi Jess,
ReplyDeleteWe say prayers every night for Parker and the kids are always asking how he is doing. Your Mom told us about this site and the updates help us to understand how he is doing. I was surfing and found this blog that made me realize that this family is just like yours going through the same thing with their boy. If you would like to check it out: http://www.miraclemason.blogspot.com/
Praying for the best.

ReplyDeleteJessica,
ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to you. We are praying for your little family. Thank you for sharing your blog.

Thank-you for allowing us to be a part of your lives by opening this window into your own. My wife & I sit, reading your posts, feeling our hearts swell with sympathy for what you are experiencing and, at the same time, reliving the memories of our own troubles with our little boy. Parkers & Joshuas' trials and circumstances are different but there is a similarity and familiarity that hits so very close to home for us.
ReplyDeleteAlthough we have felt a portion of the sadness and emptiness that can overshadow a heart and mind during times like these, we have also been the beneficiaries of an even greater portion of peace and solace that came from our Father in Heaven who knew our burden and worry. That was a priceless blessing to us and we hope the same for you.
Your little guy is a handsome little man! We will continue to fast and pray for him. God bless him, and the rest of your family in their individual needs.
"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27
